GENERAL INFORMATION

Status:                                Full Time, Commission-Based 
Compensation:                Base salary plus commission based on monthly company revenue performance, plus benefits 
Reports To:                       President/CAO
Collaborates With:          Project Coordinator, Production Manager, Estimator, Management Team 
 
POSITION SUMMARY:    This is a specialized sales and follow-up role focused on converting leads and estimates into closed jobs. The Sales Development Representative plays a key part in ensuring that qualified prospects become satisfied customers. This role requires strong sales instincts, professional communication, a high level of organization, and dedicated follow-through. While this position does not manage other employees, it carries high accountability for timely and effective customer engagement. The ideal candidate is familiar with the restoration industry, understands the nuances of property owner concerns, and is motivated by results-based commission income.  This role will work closely with the Estimator and Project Coordinator to review and send estimates, ensure that each proposal aligns with customer needs, and then follow up through multiple channels to close the deal. The Sales Development Representative will also work with adjusters and referral partners to generate additional business and maintain strong relationships. Local availability is required, as occasional in-person meetings with clients (e.g., property managers) will be expected. 
 
POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
·        Collaborative Sales Execution 
o   Collaborate with management to develop and implement sales strategies aligning with company goals 
o   Contribute to the creation of sales plans, outreach initiatives, and target pipelines based on market trends and company capacity 
o   Analyze sales performance data regularly to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness of current strategies, and recommend improvement 
o   Coordinate with the Project Coordinator to align sales follow-up with scheduling capacity 
o   Communicate frequently with the Production Manager regarding job readiness and handoffs 
o   Participate in weekly sales meetings and assist in forecasting job volume and closing timelines 
 
·        Industry Networking and Outreach 
o   Attend and actively participate in local professional associations such as BNI, BOMA, PSAA, etc 
o   Represent PuroClean Northwest at local industry events, marketing functions, and community activities (e.g., golf tournaments, expos) 
o   Identify and cultivate relationships with individuals involved in the active claims process to generate leads and referral opportunities; build and maintain rapport with key industry contacts including property managers, insurance adjusters, contractors, contents vendors, etc 
o   Travel may be required periodically for training, franchisor events, etc 
  
·        Review and Deliver Estimates 
o   Review completed estimates for clarity and completeness prior to delivery 
o   Request or make minor revisions in coordination with the estimator 
o   Send estimates to customers with professional and informative messaging 
 
  • Customer Follow-up and Sales Conversion
    Contact leads and potential customers after estimate delivery to confirm receipt and clarify details
  •  
    • Follow up by phone, email, or text to address questions and secure approval
  •  
    • Understand and communicate the scope of work clearly and persuasively
  •  
    • Maintain accurate notes and follow-up logs
  •  
    ·        Lead Qualification and Relationship Management
     
    o   Engage in early-stage customer interactions to better understand their goals and expectations
     
    o   Follow up with referral partners and insurance adjusters to encourage new job opportunities
     
    o   Track and document interactions with lead sources for reporting purposes
     
  • Technology and Systems
     
    • Use CRM systems and proprietary platforms to track leads, notes, and progress
  •  
    • Ensure all customer interactions and documents are accurately recorded in company systems
  •  
    • Manage and analyze sales data to identify areas of opportunity or improvement
  •  QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and/or Experience:

    ·        College degree or military service preferred

    ·        5 years industry experience preferred

    ·        Proven experience in sales or customer engagement, preferably in restoration, construction, or home services

    ·        Technological competency is critical, including CRM systems, email, PDF editing, and calendar management

    ·        Familiarity with industry estimating software such as Xactimate or Symbility/MobileClaims is a plus

    ·        Experience with industry platforms such as DASH (PuroLogic) is preferred
